This year for CBC Gives Back, our annual day of philanthropy, we chose two local charities to donate to over a 6-week period.
Feeding Westchester: Feeding Westchester raises funds and collects food donations for residents of Westchester County. As a collective, we dropped off 40 lbs of food items to Feeding Westchester’s warehouse in Elmsford, and in addition, we raised $300 in monetary donations. For each dollar donated, Feeding Westchester provides three meals for a family in need - so our monetary donation has contributed to 900 meals for local families this holiday season!
914Cares: 914Cares works to ensure our neighbors in need are cared for by collaborating, supporting and providing resources to local organizations, educating the community about poverty and encouraging actionable generosity. This year, we've collected 14 bags of clothing & requested items - from coats, shoes, boots, sweaters, pants & baby items to name a few!
